Ross is the smallest town in Marin County with a population of approximately 2,500 residents. The town is known for its exclusive and beautiful surroundings often reminiscent of the East Coast. Known for having some of the most expensive real estate in the County, all Ross residents receive their mail via a P.O. Box at the Ross Post office which acts as a hub for connecting with friends and neighbors.
Similar to other Marin towns – there are homes located in the “flats” and homes located in the “hills” – the primary difference being the price per square foot is some of the most expensive.
And while Ross might be a small town, its dining scene is as delightful as its natural surroundings. For a casual bite, try Tony Tuttos Pizza located right off the central town green of the Ross School. If you’re in the mood for fine dining, head to Marche Restaurant, an intimate spot specializing in French and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. For an easy hiking loop, make your way into Natalie Coffin State Park and enjoy the 1-hour dog-friendly trail around Phoenix Lake.
Due to its smaller population, Ross is served by one school that is K-8 and located in the heart of the town. For further information on Ross Schools: Ross School District.
